Biological Characteristics

Lifespan:

Typical werewolves can live up to 500 years, though many do not survive past 200 due to various threats, including violence and societal persecution.

Shapeshifting Abilities:

Werewolves can seamlessly transition between human and wolf forms, and they also have the capacity to exist as ordinary wolves.

Appearance:

Just like with every species on earth, there are different physical appearances between breeds of werewolf, typically dictated by genetics based on the region of ancestry. However mixed breeds and even “Mutts” can exist, that do not resemble any one known breed perfectly.

Sexual Dimorphism:
Though not an extreme visual difference, Males and females in most breeds of werewolf have subtle changes that may not be as easily seen by humans. Such as males having more bulk, broader shoulders and muzzle, and stockier builds. With females typically having silkier fur, and a less prominent brow.

Timeline and Storytelling Flexibility

While the current timeline is set in modern day, players are encouraged to embrace the gritty, analog feel of storytelling, reminiscent of the early 1980s. This allows for a more immersive experience, where characters must navigate a landscape laden with mystery and danger without the conveniences of instant communication.

The main narrative will revolve around the year 1982, a time when personal interactions were vital, and information traveled slowly. Characters may find themselves meeting in dimly lit diners, exchanging whispers over coffee, or printing out crucial logs on dot matrix printers, adding layers of tension and urgency to their missions.

Exploring Different Eras:

Players have the freedom to unfold their stories at any point in the timeline—past or present. Whether you choose to delve into the secrets of the early 1980s or explore the repercussions in the modern day, the choice is yours. However, it’s important to note that while your characters can influence events, they cannot significantly alter the established timeline. For example, you may aid efforts to expose the shadowy government program, but the dates and outcomes of key events will remain unchanged.

Engagement with Lore:

This structure allows for rich character development and a deeper connection to the lore. Engage with the past to uncover long-buried secrets and interact with the history that shapes the present, all while navigating the complexities of a world where trust is scarce and danger lurks at every corner.

Prepare to step into a narrative filled with intrigue, where every decision counts, and the shadows hold more than just secrets—they hold the key to survival.
